During this 4-day, 3-night retreat, you will have an opportunity to reset, recharge, and build your own daily creative practice in the mountains and ocean air of Acadia National Park and the magical town of Bar Harbor, Maine while we hike, paint, and explore personal growth principles through intimate workshops, time in nature, and short meditation/journaling sessions.

Acadia National Park may appear small on a map, but the park encompasses nearly 50,000 acres along the Atlantic Coastline of Maine — including Mount Desert Island, Schoodic Peninsula, Isle au Haut, and other outer islands. 60 miles of coastline, 33 miles of scenic motor roads, 45 miles of carriage roads, and more than 150 miles of hiking trails provide numerous ways to explore the park.

Getting to Bar Harbor
The 2 closest airports to Bar Harbor are Bar Harbor (BHB) and Bangor (BGR). The Bar Harbor (BHB) airport is a small, local airport, and fares are usually cheaper into Bangor (BGR). If you let us know your flight details we can arrange a group pick-up and drop-off for a time that works for everyone’s flights. Alternatively, rental cars and taxi services are available.

About your Hosts
Sara Bumgardner
Sara Bumgardner is a mixed media fine artist living in Maine. She teaches workshops and her work is installed in private homes and commercial spaces across the US.
Sara is an MFA candidate at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), and primarily uses watercolor, acrylic, rust, earth pigments, gold leaf, and natural materials. Her work is inspired by her environment and noticing beauty in the ordinary.
Sara has overcome many challenges, both physical and personal, in order to create a life of peace, abundance, and authenticity, and she is passionate about helping other women do the same.
Celeste Orr
Celeste Orr is a writer and author helping women pursue their biggest dreams. She hosts an online book club, writes independently-published books, and runs a small consulting business in the philanthropy space.
Over the past two decades of full-time travel, business ownership, marriage, and motherhood, Celeste has had to redefine her life again and again to find a life she loves—living overseas, traveling full-time with her family for 7 years, and finally finding a home on Mount Desert Island, Maine. In the process, she’s learned so much about personal growth and creative expression, so much she wants to share to help you make your biggest dreams come true.
