Sara Bumgardner is a mixed media fine artist living in Bar Harbor, Maine. She draws inspiration from her environment, and works primarily with watercolor, acrylic, oil, rust, earth pigments, gold leaf, and natural materials, which she uses to capture beauty in the ordinary.

Originally from the Metropolitan DC area, Sara ventured to the Southeast after earning her BA in Painting and Ceramics from Virginia Tech. She is an MFA candidate at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), and has experience working in art galleries and publishing sales. Sara moved to Maine in 2020 to co-found an inn and organize wellness and adventure retreats for women, further enriching the community and visitors with diverse experiences.

Since relocating to Maine, Sara's work has been infused with the essence of the local landscape, reflecting her deep connection to the natural world.
